* Wickaman & RV continue to tear up the dancefloors with this year’s first Mosquito release and this filthy drum n bass 12” will no doubt cement their reputation as one of the most versatile production outfits on the block. * While their tunes have had a couple of cheeky plays by Radio 1’s zane lowe and Annie Nightingale more underground dj’s have been relentlessly smashing both of these filth-ridden tracks over the past few months, Andy C playing “The Source” every set for the past three! club DJs the world over are queuing up to drop this dancefloor exsplotion. * Here we’re treated to two massive tracks of the 174 bpm variety. ‘Deep Down’ incorporates classic old skool bass sounds blended with a modern wall-of-sound production and catchy “Deep Down” vocal hook playing off against the nasty bass swithch. Lashing beats and powerful bass is the order of the day on this guaranteed rave smasher. * On the flip the boys go in on a drumstep killer that sounds like no other. Played by Grooverider on his show as an introduction to drumstep it fuses disgraceful dubstep sounds and format with that of a drum n bass track and cleverly swithches between drumstep and drum n bass throughout. Definitely one for the reload as any DJ worth their money will agree. There is a reason why both drum n bass and dubstep Dj’s are all over this track!
